All of us believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and know how our prayers to Him have been answered through St. Anthony the Saint of Miracles.
it is not only we Christians, but also no secret that St. Anthony's devotees are from all Religions, visit St. Anthony's Shrine at Kochchikade in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A visit to this shrine on a Tuesday will amaze you as to how many people, from all walks of life and all parts of the country make this weekly pilgrimage.
During the recent exposition of the Relics of St. Anthony from Padua to Sri Lanka, I witnessed the response of our believers who flocked from dawn to midnight to see and worship this miracle Saint of ours. Inspired by this, I have come up with the idea, that with your help, we build a Museum of St. Anthony, adjoining the Shrine at Kochchikade. The Museum will have many rare gems related to the life and times of St. Anthony of Padua which will be of much interest to all Christians and all devotees.
His Eminence Most Rt. Rev. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo has endorsed this idea and given me the approval toga ahead as he feels this is a great tribute to our Miraculous Saint who has been our strength at times of trial and hardship in our fives. This is ovary spiritual invitation to you as a Devotee of St. Anthony, to join as a builder of this Museum for St. Anthony. It will need a miracle to accomplish this. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 10 Million. Your generous contribution in cash or in kind will certainly be appreciated and St. Anthony will certainly bless you for your generosity.
